Blessed Benvenuta Boiani (4 May 1254 – 30 October 1292), was an Italian mystic and religious figure. Born into a noble family, she chose a life of piety and devotion from a young age and became a Franciscan tertiary. Her life was marked by profound mystical experiences and visions, during which she claimed to have been divinely instructed and blessed with the stigmata, the wounds of Christ. These experiences brought her great renown and made her a sought-after spiritual advisor. Despite her noble birth, Benvenuta chose a life of humility and poverty, living in simplicity and caring for the poor and sick. She was beatified by Pope Clement XIV on 6 February 1763 and she remains a symbol of intense spirituality and dedication to the Christian faith.
