St. Anne

Saint Anne, the mother of the Virgin Mary, holds a significant place in Christian tradition. Though little is known about her life, she is revered as a woman of deep faith and devotion. Anne is believed to have been married to Joachim, and their union was blessed with the birth of Mary. Anne’s role as the grandmother of Jesus fostered a profound spiritual connection to the Savior. She is honored as a model of motherhood, purity, and faithfulness. Saint Anne’s feast day is celebrated on July 26th, and she is venerated as the patroness of mothers, grandmothers, and pregnant women. Her significance lies in her crucial role in the lineage of Christ and her influence in the upbringing of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
