St. Prosdocimus of Padua is recognized as the first bishop of Padua, Italy, and is one of its patron saints. According to tradition, he was a disciple of St. Peter the Apostle, who sent him to Padua as a Christian evangelist. During his mission in Padua, he converted many to Christianity, including St. Justina, who is also a revered figure in the region. His episcopal leadership laid the foundation for the Christian community in Padua.
